Feinberg & Kamholtz
Civil Litigation

Our civil practice has ranged over a broad area, from civil liberties cases, to wrongful death, personal injury and malpractice actions, to complex business litigation. We have reached favorable results for our clients through negotiation and settlement, mediation and arbitration, and jury trial.

Our clients have included:

  • administrators of the estates of a mother, father, and daughter who were killed when their automobile was struck by a railroad in a grade crossing accident
  • the estate of a fisherman who died when his boat capsized in a collision with a barge at sea
  • the estate of a young mother who died during minor surgery as a result of an esophageal intubation
  • the estate of a man whose death on the operating table was caused by an infusion of blood of incompatible type
  • a real estate developer involved in a series of interlocking lawsuits with the FDIC
  • prisoners held in a county jail under conditions that violated the federal constitution

Our practice in this area has often involved appellate advocacy, including appeals to the United States Supreme Court in matters involving civil rights.
